Austin started playing French horn from age 12 in middle school band. He started taking drum set lessons in 8th grade and guitar lessons as a HS senior. Austin adores musical superimposition where multiple pivotal themes reemerge at the ending of a musical number (think Wicked). Austin graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Ball State University in 2017. One of Austin's most memorable musical experiences was when he got to work with elementary school students during the Muncie Symphony Orchestra's Instrument Petting Zoos.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
In your/your student's lessons, you can expect to learn the fundamentals of music notation (or tablature if preferred), music theory, and genre-specific performance techniques. We will also utilize chord progressions in simplified way while learning specific songs or melodies (riffs). Scales and hand shapes are essential to learning various tunes and improvisation so those will also be a focus.
