I started playing guitar at the age of 11, which has unbelievably been over 40 years ago. My main reason for picking up the guitar at first was Led Zeppelin, but since then I have been influenced by and played many styles ranging from early rock and roll to metal. What I have mostly enjoyed playing over the years is music that falls into the jam band category such as Phish and The Grayeful Dead, as well as progressive music such as Rush and Yes. I am a very well rounded and versatile player, and I like to base what I teach mostly on the student themselves, keeping them engaged while introducing them to music theory in a way that they stay engaged and actually look forward to picking up their instrument every day
