Ashton began playing percussion instruments at the age of 6. Over the years, he developed his skills further by going to school, performing in top tier marching bands and state awarding honor bands and orchestras as a professional percussionist. He gained performance experience in the Houston area by playing at such venues as various professional symphonic orchestras and percussion ensembles and with acts such as Une Vie a Taimer and Fading Sky. Though Ashton can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are advanced battery percussion and 4 mallet marimba which had great influence on his style of playing.Ashton loves music because it has always been a huge coping mechanism throughout all of my life and even throughout my childhood and loves teaching music because I wish to show others just how love can come from music and see them develop a similar love I have for the craft.
