About Me
With over 22 years of flute experience and 10 years of teaching students ages 10 to 75, I bring passion and versatility to every lesson. My journey with the flute has been a constant and joyful thread throughout my life, leading me through countless ensembles and solo performances in high school, college, and beyond. I’ve performed with groups such as Temple University’s marching band, the Philadelphia Community Orchestra, the First Unitarian Wind Ensemble, and the South Jersey Community Flute Choir, gaining a wide range of performance experience across styles and settings. My teaching journey began informally, helping friends and colleagues, and grew into a thriving private studio. I believe in making music accessible, fun, and fulfilling for everyone, regardless of age or experience. Whether you're just picking up the flute or looking to refine your technique, I’m committed to helping you find joy and confidence in your playing. Let’s make music together!

What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Everyone is welcome in my studio, regardless of age, background, or experience. I encourage students to show up as their full, authentic selves. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative learning environment where you feel safe, inspired, and pushed to grow as a musician. I start by getting to know your unique goals and what you’re hoping to achieve with your flute playing. From there, I develop a personalized lesson plan tailored to your needs, interests, and learning style. Whether you're playing for the first time or looking to deepen your skills, I’ll meet you right where you are. Together, we’ll explore a variety of musical genres—from classical to pop, experimental, and beyond. For those interested, I also offer regular performance opportunities to help build confidence and share your progress with others. Above all, my lessons are about connection, creativity, and joy in music.
