PLAYING MUSIC IS SO MUCH FUN!
My teaching style is to keep lessons companionable, fun and interesting. People learn best when they are interested.
My musical influences are broad and include: acoustic/folk, bluegrass, early jazz, rock, punk and pop.
I am a (mostly) self-taught guitarist and singer. I understand the challenges involved in getting started and can help students progress quickly to playing the songs that they like.
I can teach students:
-how to tune the guitar
-to start with simple songs right away
-to understand chord diagrams
-to play "in time" with consistent rhythm
-to play all chords in the first position
-to play barre chords
-basics of theory
-about song-writing and construction
-vocal skills
